How do I create a product on Storkeo?

This booklet is intended to help you add your products to the Storkeo site.
In case of need, our support team remains at your service by email at support@storkeo.com

Storkeo offers you the possibility to sell online and by quotation.
If you don’t want to use the online purchase functionality, we will indicate the steps you can take that are not intended for you.

Here are the steps to follow to create a product.

1- Add new product

In the left menu, click on the “Products” tab (shown in orange below).

Click on the button “Add new product”.

Fill in the fields (see below in yellow):

  • Product name
  • Price
  • Short description : to summarize the product
  • Choose a category (If you don’t find the right category, choose “other”).
  • Description : long description to explain the product in detail
  • Upload product image

Once you have filled in all the fields, click on “create product”.

2- Edit a product

For your products to be more complete, after having created them, it is essential to modify them in order to add additional information.

The essential information

In the first part, you can modify the general characteristics of the product. That is : title, price, category.

Manufacturer's Description

In this part you have to fill in the characteristics of the products.

In the title, we recommend that you put “Features” + product name”.
Example : Characteristics of protective gloves for Adventure Park.

In the manufacturer description, it is important to put the specificities of the products: dimensions, materials, content (if in kit for example), origin, etc…

It is possible to add an image in the body of the ad.
This is especially useful for product datasheets or visual content to give customers a lot of information.

Sales mode

The sales mode allows you to choose how you want to sell your products.
If you check the box “on estimate only”, your products will be offered only on estimate.
If you do not check the box, your products will be available for direct purchase, with payment by credit card for example.
To facilitate your customers’ purchases, the “add to quote” action remains active.

Other fields

There are several sub-sections available in the “others” section. Here is the information that is expected :

  • Estimate delivery time
  • Unit : choose the sales unit (see dropdown list)
  • Title FAQS : allows you to put the questions that customers ask most about your product and answer them directly
  • Short description : This is the description that customers will see first. Recap the key points to make your customer want to read on.
  • Description : helps to further explain the product. You can put more information and more details. (Don’t forget that technical characteristics such as materials, origin, etc… are included in the category “manufacturer’s description”).

Caution : It is important to publish exclusive content and not to duplicate texts.
Duplicated contents are strongly penalized by search engines as Google. Your products will then be downgraded and suspended from the Storkeo platform.

Inventory part

The different parts :

  • SKU : allows you to give a code to your product
  • Etat des stocks : permet de mettre un produit en stock ou en rupture de stock

SEO

The SEO part is generated automatically. You don’t have to make any changes.

Shipping and taxes

You can manage the shipping and taxes of your product.

If you sell your product on the Storkeo website, you must complete this section. The weight, length, width and size of the package must be indicated.

Linked Products

This part is not required.

  • Upsells : allows us to offer products of superior quality.
  • Cross-sells : allows to propose products that are complementary to the selected product

Attribute

This section is necessary for the products which have variants: Example: color, size, material, quantity (if sold by lot of 10,20,30 for example).

Select an attribute from the dropdown list.

Click on “add attribute”.

A new part will then be displayed. It will be necessary to ensure that the box “Visible on the product page” is checked.

Then in a second time you will have to fill in the “Value(s)” part.

If the attribute doesn’t exist in the drop-down menu, you can create yours manually.
To do this, select “custom attribute” from the dropdown menu :

Then, click on “add attribute” (button in white).
You can then enter your own attribute by filling in the name (for example: shape) and the values (for example: round, square…).

To separate the different values, press the “enter” key or select the value in the dark grey box that will open :

Don’t forget to save the attribute with the orange button.

Discount Options

Allows you to define a discount for the product. Just tick the box and fill in the boxes.

Wholesale Options

It is possible to sell your items with wholesale prices from a minimum quantity.
These prices will only be visible to customers who have been identified as wholesale buyers.
All other visitors will see the basic rate.

RMA Options

Cet onglet est réservé aux vendeurs qui souhaitent proposer leurs articles pour un achat direct avec paiement en ligne.

This part allows you to define your return and guarantee settings by product (they replace your global settings). If your conditions are the same for all products, there is no need to check this box.

  • Label : you can give this part any name you like. However, it is better to write “Product Warranty” or “Product Return”.
  • Type : you can choose between several options (no guarantee, included guarantee, additional guarantee)
  • RMA Policy (returns and guarantee) : it is up to you to define your RMA policy and register it here.

Other Options

In this tab you can define several things.

  • Product status: online or draft. If you want to change the status of a product for example a seasonal product, you can put it in draft to keep it.
    You can then put it online again later. By default, if the product is accepted by the administrator, its status is “online”. This option is only visible when the administrator has validated your product.

  • Visibility : You can adjust the visibility of the product so that users can find it from everywhere, or only in the catalog, or only in the search bar or hidden (Your customer will be able to access your products only if you give him the link) .
    By default, when the product is accepted by the administrator, it is “visible”.

3- Save a product

After each change, it is important to register the product. For this, you will find an orange button at the bottom of the page. If you don’t click on it, your product will not be updated.

Information : All changes require admin validation before being published.

4- Product list

Once you have created your products, they will appear in the “products” tab as a list.

The interface is then displayed as below :

Here you will find all your products.

It is possible to add a new product with the orange button at the top right.

Edit an existing product

To edit an existing product, simply hover your computer mouse over the product and options will be displayed.

Here you can: edit, delete, view, quickly modify and duplicate your product.

Delete a product

To delete a product simply click on delete permanently.

Duplicate a product

This option is convenient for adding a product similar to the previous one.
