Sock in stock: Don't throw away your socks, recycle them!

Discover the association that gives a second life to unused socks, with which Storkeo is committed!

Every year, many grip socks are abandoned and thrown away in leisure parks. We decided to react and suggest to our partner parks that they support the Sock en Stock association!

This is an association of volunteers which recycles unused, orphaned or abandoned socks to give them to the most deprived or send them to textile recycling platforms.

The sock recycling association

Located in Lille, the association was founded by two co-founders who met the challenge of bringing together a team of 39 volunteer members.

Faced with the number of unused socks and the lack of access to this item for the most deprived, Sock en Stock's mission is to enable the connection between supply and demand.

This approach aims to provide access to comfort for all but also to increase the lifespan of textile products.

Volunteer collection

The association was able to set up a network of collection points throughout France (companies, associations, schools, etc.).

Once received, the socks are washed, disinfected, sorted then put together in pairs by volunteers in sorting workshops.

Items that cannot be distributed are sent to textile recycling platforms.

Since 2017, almost 36,000 pairs have been distributed.

Instructions for leisure parks

We know that thousands of grip socks are discarded at Trampoline Parks every year. If you would like to make a donation, it's very simple!

Simply sort all the socks left in your park by size and pair if possible. Orphans for pairs, they must be in good condition (clean, dry, without holes or stains).
