Structure of a standard short
The padel court structure is designed to combine robustness and aesthetics, measuring 20 meters long for the playing area and 20.40 meters overall, with a width of 10 meters on the inside and 10.40 meters overall. This construction uses galvanized steel, either painted or coated with baked epoxy polyester resin, in accordance with strict technical standards. The mesh used is a 50x50x4mm galvanized electro-welded model, optimized to have no internal protrusions, thus guaranteeing safety and durability.
The connections between the various structural elements are secured using stainless steel threaded rods, washers, and rounded cap nuts. The ground pillars are built to specifications, with 80 x 60 x 2 mm pillars at the bottom and sides, and 70 x 30 x 2 mm double L-shaped pillars at the corners, 4 meters high . Anchor plates measuring 300 x 180 x 10 mm and 200 x 190 x 10 mm reinforce the structure, complemented by screws of 14 mm or longer and metal anchors at least 140 mm in length.
For installation, the court is anchored to the ground with Hilti-type anchors or similar, ensuring a solid base. Metal reinforcing brackets add extra stability up to 0.5 meters high at the base of the posts. Horizontal crossbeams measuring 30x30x2 mm are placed at 1 and 2 meters to prevent any deformation. PVC plugs seal the top of the posts , protecting the structure's integrity from the elements.
Paint
The metal components are treated with a thermosetting polyester powder coating, enriched with polyester resins, to offer a customizable finish according to the customer's color preferences. This method significantly improves resistance to corrosion, UV radiation, and physical impacts.
The application of this paint is done by electrostatic process, after which the parts are baked at a temperature of 180°C to 200°C to allow polymerization, thus ensuring the durability of the protective layer.
For installations near coastal areas, where the risk of corrosion is exacerbated by salt spray, additional protective measures are taken to safeguard the metal structure. Customers can also opt for a two-tone finish , for example, with different colors for certain elements such as spotlight stems.
